On November 1st, join the London Fortean Society for a double bill of British Horror Cinema as we look at the city’s dark cinematic street and how film transformed familiar British landscapes into spaces of terror.
One of the guests is – you guessed it – me, talking about my upcoming book Death Lines and some of the wild, weird, and fascinating themes that seem to keep reappearing in London’s horror cinema. There will also be Darrell Buxton and Jennifer Wallis (contributions to the brilliant Offbeat: British Cinema’s Curiosities, Obscurities and Forgotten Gems) discussing some of Britain’s lesser-known cult films and their often-horrific depictions of mental healthcare and family relationships.
I hope we will see you there!
